Job Summary

The Global Product Manager - Joint Management is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the surgical instrument product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet competitive marketing & financial strategies. Representing Voice of Customer by taking feedback through various means and providing key points for consideration to R&D in order to develop and curate an instrument line that meets the needs of today’s veterinary surgeons.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expert for the Movora – (TPLO, CBLO, TTA, PGR, SCRT)
  • Regularly meet with surgeons and KOL’s involved in new product development projects. Seek new relationships with key surgeons.
  • Conduct all downstream and upstream activities supporting surgical instrumentation while positioning Movora as the one source for Veterinary surgical instrumentation.
  • Provide product expertise in surgical instrumentation and develop strategies and applicable portions of the company business plan.
  • Gather voice of customer to analyze and establish customer requirements, define the product visions, and work closely with product development to realize customer requirements.
  • Participate in overall product strategy, research and development efforts and manufacturing coordination of new and emerging products.
  • Identify market potential, establish pricing and market strategies in alignment with market tolerance, estimate potential sales and manage product through the entire life cycle.
  • Conduct surgeon and sales rep product and procedure training. Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, product development, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Contribute to and conduct sales trainings, company and customer service programs, promotions, product release documents, and competitive intelligence that positively affect the financial wellbeing of existing and new products.
  • Produce competitive analysis collateral comparing product with its key competitors to support sales team.
  • Manage new product development from conception to market launch.
  • Ongoing support for product responsibilities, which include post launch analysis and continued product improvements.
  • Attend major conventions and labs to meet with customers (veterinarians and KOL’s); attend training lectures and react to any significant trends on emerging new technologies/products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Development, Sales, or R&D within the veterinary or medical device industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or relevant field required.
  • Deep understanding of Joint Management and orthopedic solutions, veterinary preferred.
  • Proven ability to engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and drive product adoption.
  • Ability to work independently with strong self-management, time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Customer Focused with strong client-facing and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership communication, presentations and written skills required.
  • Good physical condition with the capability to attend surgeries is essential.
  • Up to 30% Travel - Requires ability to travel for Sales, Trade Shows and Training.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
