To further strengthen our rapidly expanding companion animal diagnostics portfolio we are seeking a Territory Manager, Companion Animal for our North American market.
Job description
The Territory Manager, Companion Animal, as part of the sales team, reports directly to the North American Head of Sales. As INDICAL continues to build and grow our Parasitology business, we seek a passionate and driven individual to join the team. Main responsibilities include:
- Create and implement territory coverage plans for optimal account coverage to sell the OvaCyte Parasitology products.
- Conduct 50%+ in-person sales calls (local or national) to promote, demonstrate, and sell to animal hospitals, veterinarians, and staff to achieve growth targets.
- Collaborate with the North American Sales team to build and maintain a strong sales funnel and document in Salesforce (CRM).
- Co-operate with the North American Sales team and Marcom to optimize lead generation and enhance call activity.
- Organize and schedule product demonstrations with potential customers to showcase the OvaCyte products.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and pursue leads with a sense of urgency.
- Identify and research potential customers in partnership with the North American sales team to foster positive relationships and encourage consumable usage.
- Build and maintain positive referral accounts within each territory.
- Attend and represent the INDICAL at trade shows to create and capture qualified leads.
- Understanding customer needs and adapt the sales message to independently advance sales and close business deals.
- Maintain Salesforce customer and business data and other system records accurately and thoroughly.
- Learn and maintain competitive knowledge within the diagnostics and animal healthcare space.
Position requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3 years of relevant experience in the animal health industry, specifically in direct sales, demonstrated success in the Companion and Large Animal segments.
- Extensive prior experience selling into vet clinics and established relationships and network within this space.
- Proven track record of sales excellence, closure skills, and exceptional customer service.
- Ability to close new business with short sales cycle.
- Be agile and adaptable to tailor the sales messaging to meet customer needs.
- Learn and maintain a deep understanding of competitive products and markets in the animal health sector.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, along with excellent organizational, follow-up, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, demanding environment with flexibility in responding to changing business needs.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
