Check-Points is a pioneer in innovative DNA testing methods in the industry and health sector since its foundation in 2002. Deoxyribonucleic acid, short for DNA, is a molecule that carries the genetic instructions used in the growth, development, functioning, and reproduction of all known living organisms and many viruses. Check-Points has used the specific characteristics of DNA to develop a range of rapid molecular assays which support commercial organizations and hospitals in identifying and serotyping of Salmonella using molecular diagnostics. Check-Points has also developed molecular assays to detect beta-lactam resistance in the form of carbapenemases, ESBLs, and AmpCs within Enterobacteriaceae.
