Your Opportunity
We’re looking for a Washroom Cleaner to join our Laboratory team on a 6 month fixed term role.
Equipment Cleaning and Maintenance – Wash all lab equipment, run dishwashers and washing machines, check for damaged items, and change vacuum cleaner filters as scheduled.
Laboratory Cleaning – Vacuum and mop lab areas, clean sinks, water fountains, benchtops, windows, and glass surfaces according to SOP.
Waste Management – Monitor, empty, and clean bins and RUM buckets on a regular schedule.
Consumables Management – Restock lab and change room consumables and refill 70% alcohol bottles throughout the lab.
Hygiene and Safety Monitoring – Monitor and change tacky mats and ensure all cleaning and maintenance follow approved SOPs.
Documentation – Complete end-of-day logs and maintain records according to approved training.
The role will initially be based at our Head Office in Caringbah, with a planned transition to our Caringbah North location later this year. In the meantime, the successful candidate will primarily work at the Head Office, with one day per week allocated to cleaning duties at our Caringbah North site.
What you will bring to Our Team
Previous experience cleaning in a laboratory environment.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of workload.
Promotes and maintains a positive work environment for colleagues and management staff.
Maintains high attention to detail and awareness of the impact of product quality and presentation.
Must be able to lift and handle items up to 15 kg.
Able to stand or sit for extended periods as required.
