Your Opportunity

We're looking for a passionate Laboratory Technician to join our high performing Tablet team on a Permanent Full-time basis based in Caringbah.

The suitable candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Conduct start of day procedures prior to the commencement of compounding.
  • Compounding medications using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients.
  • Completion of in-house calibrations according to schedule. This includes but is not limited to pH meters, tablet hardness tester, balances, and viscometer.
  • Ensure compliance of script with in-house 15-point checklist.
  • Review the script to ensure accuracy and appropriateness before compounding commences.
  • Maintain established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazard chemicals.
  • Ensure status cards for critical equipment are in order and kept up to date.
  • Cleaning and maintenance procedures for equipment are followed and documented. E.g. autoclaves clean, tablet machine greasing etc.
  • Apply work practices as required under the Work Health and Safety Act, SOP’s, policies and procedures of the organisation.

What you will bring to our Family

  • Experience in pharmaceutical compounding is highly desirable.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and shows initiative.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of WHS legislation.
